Sochi, Russia (SportsNetwork.com) - The queen is still on top, but her reign has some worthy challengers. South Koreas Kim Yuna began her quest for a second straight Olympic gold medal by posting the top score on Wednesday in the womens short program at the Sochi Olympics. But Kims advantage is slim. She scored a 74.92 as the 17th performer and her lead held solid until Italys Carolina Kostner put together a routine that netted her a score of 74.12. Russias Adelina Sotnikova then sent the home crowd into a frenzy with a routine that scored at 74.64, putting her a mere .28 behind Kim, known in her home country as Queen Yuna. Canadas Kaetlyn Osmond damaged her short program with a heavy stumble en route to a score of 56.18. She is currently 13th. Kims score on Wednesday was good enough to put her first going into Thursdays free skate, with medals awarded following that event. Kim, a two- time world champion, is aiming to become the first repeat gold medalist in the ladies singles since Katarina Witt in 1984 and 88. The 23-year-old used a score of 78.50 in the short program en route to gold four years ago in Vancouver and was solid in Sochi despite a foot injury suffered in September that held her out of action until December. Japans Mao Asada, who won a silver four years ago, fell during her routine and was 16th with a score of 55.51. The U.S. saw its three skaters finish in the top seven, led by Gracie Golds score of 68.63 that landed her in fourth. Ashley Wagner was sixth following a score of 65.21, putting her behind 15- year-old Russian fan-favorite Yulia Lipnitskaya. She earned a score of 65.23 despite a fall during her routine on a triple flip. Another 15-year-old had a solid showing in American Polina Edmunds, who set a new season-best with a score of 61.04 to put her in seventh place. The American woman have something to prove after failing to win an Olympic medal for the first time since 1964 four years ago in Vancouver. In fact, theres only been one U.S. medalist in the ladies singles in the past two Olympics and that was a silver by Sasha Cohen in 2006. Jeremiah Attaochu Jersey.com) - Sergio Agueros 63rd-minute goal was enough to lift Manchester City to a 1-0 win over 10-man Manchester United on Sunday at the Etihad Stadium. Russell Okung Jersey. According to TSN Hockey Insider Bob McKenzie, the deal will pay Schenn $2.25 million in the first year and $2.75 million in the second year. In 82 games with the Flyers in 2013-14, Schenn scored 20 goals and added 21 assists. http://www.chargersprofansshop.com/Black-Craig-Mager-Chargers-Jersey.html?cat=870. He was 90. The team announced Monday that Adams had died, saying he "passed away peacefully from natural causes." The son of a prominent oil executive, Adams built his own energy fortune and founded the Houston Oilers. Kellen Winslow Jersey. Nothing pretty. But this is 1/4 World Cup. Usually plays out this way. Lance Alworth Jersey.com) - Wimbledon runner-up Eugenie Bouchard notched a win, while second-seeded two-time champion Ana Ivanovic, third- seeded Australian Open runner-up Dominika Cibulkova and fifth seed Sabine Lisicki all exited the draw at the Generali Ladies Linz tennis event.Southampton, England (SportsNetwork.com) - Southampton will experience its first major test of the Premier League season on Sunday when the club welcomes Manchester City to St. Marys. The Saints have exceeded expectations in the early going of the campaign following a massive exodus during the summer, rallying for a second-place position despite being tipped by many as relegation favorites. But Southampton has yet to compete against any club inside the top four, making Sundays clash a bit of a statement game for Ronald Koemans men. The club is unbeaten in its last five Premier League outings, but the hosts will face a City side that has been revived by a dramatic win in Champions League play on Tuesday. The Citizens, who enter the weekend in third place in the English top flight, were sputtering in Europe until Sergio Aguero netted two late goals against Bayern Munich at the Etihad to keep their Champions League hopes alive with a 3-2 victory. Aguero has become Citys talisman as his 12 Premier League goals put him atop the scoring chart. The Argentine will hope to keep rolling at St. Marys knowing that a win for City would put the reigning champions on 27 points through 13 games, one point better than Southampton. Chelsea, however, continues to set the pace in the Premier League, entering the weekend on 32 points. The Blues have yet to lose a match in leaguue play this term, and its a streak that figures to continue this weekend as they will travel to the Stadium of Light to face lowly Sunderland on Saturday.dddddddddddd Despite a myriad of injuries over the course of the season, Manchester United has managed to find itself in fourth place after grinding out a road victory at Arsenal last weekend. The Reds Devils will return home to Old Trafford on Saturday to host a Hull City side that has lost three on the bounce. Arsenals two straight league losses have seemingly been erased with an inspired performance against Borussia Dortmund in Champions League action on Wednesday. The Gunners will hope to turn around their league campaign on Saturday with a positive result at West Bromwich Albion. Liverpool has experienced a similar string of events in recent months, struggling massively in league play before claiming a vital Champions League victory midweek. The Reds will attempt to snap a three-game Premier League slide on Saturday when they play host to Stoke City at Anfield. Rounding out Saturdays action, Leicester City will head to Loftus Road to face QPR, Crystal Palace will take on Swansea City at the Liberty Stadium and West Ham United will welcome surging Newcastle to Upton Park. Sundays final contest will see Europa League participants Everton and Tottenham square off at White Hart Lane. Wholesale Jerseys Cheap NFL Jerseys Wholesale Jerseys Authentic Jerseys From China Wholesale Jerseys Wholesale NFL Jerseys ' ' '
