We're scheduling for the fall and I'm trying to figure out what's on what day, etc.

I'm just wondering "how much is too much" and what is average.

Thanks for your input.

Godspeed.
Ed.

I've by-passed this question many times but it keeps grabbing my attention...

Right now we have one child being home schooled. The other two are too young for outside activities. My oldest has Karate every Monday night. We allow one other activity. Just one sport on top of Karate can keep us jumping from practice to practice to game to Karate 4 nights out of seven each week. That breaks-up the family unit a majority of the nights every seven days. That is too much turmoil. If we add into that mix a night or two where I have to work at the airport...

I see a time in the future when we will have to tell all three children to pick one activity each. Coordinating that will be a full-time job.

Family time with both parents home is too important to miss. A family meal together is very important. We have to keep that priority in mind when my family schedules activities.

We have a homeschool group that meets at a local rec center for P.E. activities (floor hockey, etc.). Two children (boy and girl) take ice skating lessons and the girl also does ballet. That keeps me pretty busy with outside activities. If I could afford it, I'd add some gymnastics to it.
