Hi guys,

Got this email this week and wanted to share it with you all. Take a minute and go to the website and read how you can make a difference. I'd like to think that we CAN make an impact and contain internet pornography.

Two good websites to use to help someone who is struggling with pornography or lust are:

http://www.purewarrior.org/

http://www.xxxchurch.com

A good book to read and I have done two Men Bible Studies on is Every Man's Battle by Fred Stoeker.

A good book to read with your son's is Preparing Your Son for Every Man's Battle by Fred Stoeker.

One other book that I am going to read is Waking the Dead by John Elderedge.

I used to run a ministry dealing with sexual brokenness including porn addictions. The stats are astounding. In 1999, something like 18% of all internet users were addicted to internet porn. Promisekeepers has said that approximately 75% of all those attending their events are struggling with porn. Keep in mind that those are Christian events.

It's really amazing how sidespread it is. If anyone is on-line and needs help, please feel free to contact me.

Godspeed.

I would be glad to help as well. It really is sad that men in the churches are getting addicted to pornography. What a double standard this is, but there is always hope.

Hi again,

Wow! What a list of replies. Thank you all for your interest. It seems as though many of you have been involved in counseling men with porn addiction. Thanks for the effort and keep at it. This is a disease that has permeated our society and I am grateful for your commitments to the ministry of service. The primary reason that I sent the original message was to promote activity to stop or limit the access that pornographers have to the web. Like many of you, I'm sure, I have teen and preteen kids. They use the net for innocent reasons but while doing open searches, have ended up with pornographic material loading. It upsets me greatly that porn is so readily available. I would like all of us to take a stand against it. Please sign that letter to President Bush and cast your vote to place limits on xxx material. Your children will benefit and likely be safer.

Ponrography is here to stay. There is little that can restrain it on the internet today. Look at it this way guys....., your clerics, ministers, and priests neednt bother with buying videos or magazines at the local adult bookstore anymore, and they know that a new crop of alter boys, and wide eyed young christian soldiers march into the church each year. It is a regular feeding frenzy for these "distinguished gentlemen"

Just imagine a world without religion

peace.
