Dear families,

Ken Ham from AIG(Answers in Genesis http//:www.answersingenesis.org) is coming to Boise with Buddy Davis. Below is a list of activities for the children and registration for special classes for the kids. During the children's workshops the adults will be in their own workshops. Click on website above for information.

This is going to be a great childrens workshop and is by reservation only. Reservations are filling up already and each workshop is limited to 96 children. October really is just around the corner. The $15 fee covers the cost of materials. Pass this announcement on to other homeschoolers, homeschool groups, churches and friends. CHOIS (Christian Homeschoolers Of Idaho State) is the co-sponsor for this exciting event. The entire conference and the student meetings are all FREE. Please note that ONLY the Childrens Adventure Workshop requires reservations and a fee. Information is listed below.

Buddy Davis

Dinosaur sculptor, author/speaker and popular musician!
God has gifted Buddy Davis in many areas. Not only does he sing selections from his eight CDs at many AiG conferences (where he also conducts popular children?s workshops), this down-home ?renaissance man? is also an accomplished ?paleo-artist,? specializing in building life-sized dinosaur sculptures for AiG?s Creation Museum near Cincinnati. Buddy is also an adventurer?in 1994 he found unfossilized dinosaur bones in the tundra of Alaska above the Arctic Circle (all recounted in his book ?The Great Alaskan Dinosaur Adventure?), demonstrating that dinosaurs did not die out millions of years ago!

I'd highly recommend this. We recently saw Ken Ham at the CHAPS conference. We picked up a bunch of his stuff and used this summer for our dinosaur unit study.

You're lucky to be getting the full conference. I'm sure that it will be a good weekend.

Godspeed.

Why would you want independence for your child's education, only to stick him in some indoctrination classes with the likes of Ken Ham. This man is a charlatan who can offer nothing to your child that he or she needs to know. Indoctrination of children into any faith should be illegal as far as I am concerned.

We should at least allow children to fully develop their reasoning faculties so that they can make an informed decision about matters of faith.
