Hi guys,

We're looking at a complicated school plan for next year which doesn't work conveniently with the work schedule. There are many things that work and things that don't. Not to mention, three kids with very different needs and only twenty-four hours to meet them in. Please pray for us.

Rich,

I will keep you in my prayers. What curriculum are you looking at? Is it not made to be more flexible if need be?

Hi Bartii,

Thanks for the prayers, I really appreciate you taking the time to respond too. The curriculum isn't the issue but since you asked, we're using a combination of ABeka, Apologia, Beautiful Feet, and some other add-in stuff. Essentially a classical spectrum. Our oldest and middle kids are taking some tutorial programs and our youngest along with me, will be working with a local homeschooling co-op. Both my wife and I work full time and up until this past May, I worked the night shift- 6pm -6am. This allowed me to be home during the days but now, I work 6am-6pm. The change enables me to avoid the extreme sleep deprivation I was experiencing but offers scheduling challenges that we hadn't dealt with before. Academically, the kids are doing really well however, the social exposure has been historically difficult. This is why the tutorials and co-op activities are so important. Trying to coordinate those programs around my schedule is where the stress is coming from. I know God will work it out. I just need to listen and try to stay out of His way. Thanks again.

Rich
