I went to a local curriculum fair here in Orlando today hosted by our Homeschool Co-Op. This was the first one I attended and I should have done it 2 years ago when we first started. This time I went specifically to find out about CD's or Online curriculum instead of books. I had heard about Alpha Omega courses, but didn't know much about them.

I stopped by their table and asked about it and he showed me a demo on his laptop. I was impressed to say the least! This looks like it is definately the way to go. The CD's have all the lessons with video, slideshows, text for reading, teacher videos, reviews, quizes, test, and more. You hook up via online with the school in the mornings and evenings 3 times a week to syncronize the lessons. A teacher grades the work, all the data is kept, and parents can monitor everything.

This is so cool that my kids will really enjoy it more than the books. I'm probably 95% sure that I will be going with this method for next year. Has anybody else used them? Their website is www.aop.com.

Ideologically driven curriculums, as I have said before, are poor choices for any child. Beware Dogma.
