Yesterday we combined the history of Earth Day with the phys. ed. of baseball and the science of the first-ever carbon neutral game ever played.

Yeah, all that means is that we went to a ballgame on Earth Day.

The Mariners hosted the Orioles and it was a good game. I love the M's and I really love their new(ish) stadium. Interestingly enough, in celebration of Earth Day, the teams did that carbon credit sale/trade thing and made the evening "carbon neutral." Kinda interesting and kinda cool.

And the M's won! What could be better?

Frank,

My Earth Day revolves around planting trees, and attempting to get my family involved. Besides the work involved, methinks my wife and son tire of my lectures on land stewardship, leaving legacies, and Aldo Leopold.

I must boast that I have averaged over 500 plantings a year since 1992.

Good for you, Basil!

We've had more meaningful Earth Days (and, I admit, less-meaningful ones!); but I do like sports and we really enjoyed going to the M's carbon-neutral game for this particular Earth Day.

Trees are always a good idea.
